Ghost of the Forest is meant to invoke the beauty that is slowly vanishing through climate change and deforestation. Life death and rebirth are a natural part of nature, and this space is a suspension between death and rebirth. The possibility of rebirth is present but slowly fading away as we lose biodiversity. The gallery is transformed into a mixture of the abundance that once was and the sparsity that remains. This piece is both a longing for a better future and a memorial to what is already beyond our reach.
